German Beatbox Championship 2026 — Lennard Reaches the Loopstation Finals in Berlin
The German Beatbox Championship in Berlin was one of the most intense live events I’ve ever been part of.
This year, I competed in the Loopstation category and battled my way through the quarterfinals and semifinals all the way to the finals — ending the night as Vice Champion after three incredibly close battles.
For anyone who doesn’t know: the German Beatbox Championship (GBC) is one of the biggest beatbox competitions in Germany and brings together some of the country’s best beatbox and loopstation artists for live battle performances in front of a huge crowd.
Quarterfinal Battle vs. Shinex
My first battle of the evening was against Shinex in the quarterfinals — and it was actually the very first battle of the entire night.
Starting the event with a live loopstation battle in front of a packed Berlin crowd was an unreal feeling. The energy in the room was immediately intense, and both of us came in fully prepared.
One funny challenge during the battle was that we could barely understand each other on stage because of the sound situation. Standing right next to one another, hearing battle lyrics clearly was almost impossible at times.
Still, Shinex delivered strong battle lyrics and followed it up with an incredibly musical second round that really stood out. Massive respect for that performance.
The judges ultimately voted 2:1 in my favor, sending me into the semifinals.
Semifinal Battle vs. Kryzon
In the semifinals, I faced Kryzon in another extremely close loopstation battle.
This one became very intense from a performance standpoint. During the first round, Kryzon went full battle mode and got directly into my personal space at the table as part of the performance pressure. That kind of stage presence can completely change the atmosphere of a live beatbox battle, and reacting to those moments in real time is part of what makes this scene so exciting.
At the same time, the battle also had some genuinely funny moments.
During one of my rounds, I used a banana as a prop and eventually left it on his table. Instead of ignoring it, Kryzon actually joined the joke and ate the banana during the battle, which somehow made the whole moment even more legendary.
Once again, the judges voted 2:1, which meant I advanced to the finals of the German Beatbox Championship Loopstation category.
Huge respect and thanks to Kryzon for such an unforgettable battle.
Final Battle vs. Slether
The final battle of GBC Berlin was against Slether.
Sharing the stage with one of Germany’s strongest loopstation artists already meant a lot to me, and the battle itself was absolutely crazy from start to finish.
There was also an unfortunate technical issue during the final. In Slether's second round, the timer glitched and stole almost an entire minute from his set. He noticed the problem with only a few seconds left and immediately stopped the round. Since the issue clearly wasn’t his fault, he was allowed to replay the round — and he absolutely delivered.
In the end, the judges voted 2:1 in favor of Slether, making him the two-time German Loopstation Champion.
Huge congratulations to him for the victory.
That result also means I’m now officially a two-time Vice Champion in the German Beatbox Championship Loopstation category.
Thank You Berlin ❤️
This event reminded me once again why I love the beatbox and loopstation scene so much.
The pressure, creativity, live improvisation, and connection between artists and audience make these events something truly special. Every battle pushed me creatively and mentally, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me throughout the night.
Thank you to the audience in Berlin, the organizers of the German Beatbox Championship, the livestream viewers, and of course all of my opponents for making this such an unforgettable weekend.
